Lumber back 120 years with me, Theodore, the very first plush teddy from 1900s Brooklyn. I’m known to be quite the legend among my kind. And as for my name, well, did someone important preside over it?
Allow me to introduce myself: I’m Theodore, the original plush teddy bear, born just as the world was falling in love with us. Before that, we were simply “stuffed bears”… can you imagine?
My story began the day President Roosevelt spared a captured bear, a moment that melted hearts across America. Soon after, a clever Brooklyn penny store stitched me to life and called me “Teddy’s Bear.”
With golden fur, jointed limb charm, and a look that’s stood the test of time, I’m a plush rooted in history and made for keeps.

How to look after me
Wash separately before use. Warm hand wash or gentle machine wash with like colours, maximum 40°C/ 105°F. Do not bleach, iron or dry clean. Line dry in shade or gentle/low tumble dry. Discontinue use immediately if the item is damaged or frayed.

We will happily offer a store credit for any item that is purchased within seven days of purchase. Item must be unworn with all original tags and labels intact. Please note all shipping costs occurred from returning an item for store credit is your responsibility. All items being sent back to us MUST be sent by a traceable source, we will not be held responsible for items lost in the post on return to us. We do not offer refunds for change of mind or incorrectly selected size.No returns or store credit on any sale item.
